BUDGET HEARING

FEBRUARY 14, 2011

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

 

Present: Boss, M. Drenth, Rasmussen, Stewart and Vollmer.

Absent: Campbell, Nickel and M.B. Drenth   

Others Present:  Robert Daunter 

Boss opened hearing at 7:00 p.m.

The Finance Committee presented the 2011-2012 budget.  A short discussion on the budget was held.

Also a short discussion on the increase water rates.

Meeting closed at 7:08 p.m.

REGULAR MEETING

FEBRUARY 14, 2011

Present: Boss, Stewart , M. Drenth, Rasmussen and Vollmer.

Absent: Campbell, Nickel and M.B. Drenth                                                                                        Others Present:  Robert Daunter and Tom Durecki  (Tom’s Bait Shop) 

Meeting called to order by Boss at 7:10

 

1.      Motion by Rasmussen/ Stewart to approve the January 2011 minutes as presented. CARRIED.   4-0

 

Public Input:  Tom Durecki, wanting and giving information on the fishing contest, prizes, ice condition tarp for the walls of the pavilion, etc. associated with the Shiverfest.

 

Department Reports:

Police:  Office Daunter: LAW DOGS will take part in a basketball game against the Ellsworth High School alumni on Friday February 18th at the High School Gym at 7:00p.m as part of the Shiver fest weekend.

Streets:  NA

Committee Reports:

Planning Commission:  Will be meeting later in Feb.

Finance Committee:  Presented 2011-2012 Budget to Village Council

 

Action Items:

 

2.     Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer  to accept the 2011-12 budget for the Village of Ellsworth as  presented by the Finance Committee.  CARRIED   4-0

3.   Resolution to Increase Water Rates.  CARRIED  4 yes/ 0 no.  See Attachment

4.     Resolution to Change Phone and Internet Service at the Office.  CARRIED  4 yes/ 0 no. 

             See Attachment

5.   Motion by Vollmer/Stewart to appoint Tex Drenth as the summer Recreation Director.

5.      CARRIED.4-0

5. Motion by Rasmussen/Stewart to pay the bills as presented. CARRIED 4-0

6.  Motion by Stewart/Boss to adjourn at 8:05 p.m.
