Present: Boss, M. Drenth, Rasmussen, Kammerer, M.B. Drenth  and Vollmer.
Absent: Campbell and Stewart           
Others Present: Tim Roach from Gosling-Czubak, Patty Niepath, Antrim County Register of Deeds and John Morris  
Boss opened budget hearing at 7:00 p.m.
The Finance Committee presented the 2013-2014 budget.  A short discussion on the budget was held.
Meeting closed at 7:10 p.m.

Meeting called to order by Boss at 7:10
Present: Boss, M. Drenth, Rasmussen, Kammerer, M.B. Drenth  and Vollmer.
Absent: Campbell and Stewart           
Others Present: Tim Roach from Gosling-Czubak, Patty Niepath, Antrim County Register of Deeds and John Morris 

  1. Motion by M.B. Drenth/ Kammerer to approve the January 2013 minutes as presented. CARRIED.   5-0.

Public:  Patti Niepath introduced herself to the council.

Department Reports:
Police:  Office Morris gave police report and reported vandalism at the Wooden Shoe Park 
Streets:  NA
Committee Reports:
Planning Commission:  Will be meeting later in March
Finance Committee:  Presented 2013-2014 Budget to Village Council

Action Items:

  1. Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer to accept the 2013-14 budget for the Village of Ellsworth as  presented by the Finance Committee.  CARRIED   5-0

3.   Motion by Rasmussen/M.B Drenth to appoint Sarah Essenberg as summer recreation director for the 2013 season. Carried 5-0 
4.  Motion by M.B. Drenth/Rasmussen to appoint Shannon Fender as Market Master for the 2013 season. Carried 5-0
5.  Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer to approve the use of Village Property for the Shiver Fest, Feb. 15, 16, 17. Carried 4-0 
6 Motion by M.B. Drenth/Kammerer to approve Gosling/Czubak to assist the Village with preparation of a Rural Development fund application for updating the water system. Carried 5-0
Discussion Items:

  1.  Shiver Fest, short discussion.
  2.  The Village audit will be May 15  and 16.
  3. LED Message Board should be installed around March 1st.

7. Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer to pay the bills as presented. CARRIED 5-0
8.  Motion by M.B. Drenth/Rasmussen to adjourn at 7:40 p.m.
