REGULAR MEETING

BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL

JULY 14, 2014

 

Present: Campbell, Boss, M.B. Drenth, Marlene Drenth, Sowers and Kammerer.

Absent: Stewart, Vollmer

Others: Dave Heeres, Candidate for County Supervisor, Jerry Rasmussen

 

 

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:08 pm.

 

1. Motion by Boss/Drenth to approve the June 9, 2014 minutes as presented. Carried 5-0

 

Department Reports.

DPW: Update on Water Project

Streets: Bids let July 11, 2014 for the reconstruction of Center/Lake St (C48/Breezeway)

Police: NA

 

Committee Reports:

Planning Commission: Update Zoning of Breezeway/C48 and the open position on Commission

Finance Committee: Budget Amendments and 2013-20 audit report

Recreation Committee:

a. Wooden Shoe Campground: Attendance about the same as last year

b. Discussed docks at Ellsworth Community Park

 

Discussed:

a. Archery Tournament September 20, 2014

b. Paddle Antrim

c. 2014 Ellebration Recap

d. Ellsworth/Banks Township Community Center and purchase of corner lot (Center and Main St.)

e. New Store: Junkers Junction

f. Election and Petitions for November 4, 2014 election

g. Propane pre buy: Approve at next regular meeting

h. Fireworks 2015 to be Friday, July 3

 

Action Items:

 

2. Motion by Drenth/Sowers to approve the attached budget amendments summited by finance committee.

Carried 5-0

 

3. Motion by Boss/Drenth to authorize the Village President to enter into a hard option agreement with Brian R. Lemond for the purchase of Lot 129 Plat of Ellsworth Sec 14 T32N ID#05-44-010-073-00. Carried 5-0

 

4. Motion by Boss/Drenth to approve the following water rates effective April 1, 2015:

Usage Fee: $3.50 per Thousand Gallons. Availability Fee: $20 Residential, $25 Commercial per month. Hydrant rental: $100 per hydrant per year. Connect fees: $1500 plus time and materials. Shut off fee if for delinquent water bill: $50 Carried 5-0

 

 

5. Motion by Boss/Kammerer to approve Resolution 07142014 to add Ellsworth Community Park and Ellsworth

River Park to the Chain of Lakes Water Trail Map. Carried 5-0

 

6. Motion by Sowers/Kammerer to pay the bills. Carried 5-0

 

7. Motion by Campbell/Drenth to adjourn: 8:30 pm
