VILLAGE OF ELLSWORTH COUNCIL MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING 
BANKS TOWNSHIP HALL
OCTOBER 8, 2012

 

Present: Campbell, M. Drenth, Boss, Vollmer, Nickel, Rasmussen, and M.B. Drenth.
Absent: Stewart
 Others:  John Morris and Duane Arnott 

Meeting called to order by Campbell at 7:05 PM

1. Motion by Boss/Drenth to accept the September 10, 2012 minutes as presented. CARRIED.
    

PUBLIC INPUT:  None
DEPARMENTAL REPORTS:  
                Police:  Chief Morris gave a short positive report
                DPW:  Discussed the Reliability Study prepared by Gosling/Czubak
                Streets:  C48 reconstruction still on schedule for 2014
Parks/Recreation:  Revenue up from last year; Village get a budget bid on putting a new      roof on the bathhouse.
Planning Commission:  No Report

2.  Motion by Vollmer/Rasmussen to set Halloween hours at 5pm to 8 pm Wednesday, October 31, 2012.  Passed

Motion by Rasmussen/Vollmer to accept Drogt and Sons Excavating bid to do snow removal on Center Street this winter.  Carried 6-0

3. Motion by Rasmussen/Boss to approve the following budget amendments:

Recreation Fund:

Increase Utilities Expense (208-248-92000) $200 from $0 to $200
Increase Field Setup (208-248-95710) $150 from $300 to $450
Increase Umpires (208-248-80120) $125 from $300 to $425
Carried 6-0

4.  Motion by Rasmussen/Drenth to purchase new tires for the red pickup.  Carried 6-0

Discussed:
a.  Fall Cruise will be October 20, 2004
b.  November Election/Trustee Candidates.  Need one person to run as a write-in for Trustee
           November 6.
c.  The village received a 12,500 for the next year’s Farmers Market and Electronic Message
 Board.
d.  Bob Daunter’s retirement party October 12, 5-8 pm at Banks Township Hall.
e.  Terrorism Insurance Coverage

5.  Motion by Rasmussen/Boss to pay the bills.

6.  Motion by Drenth/Vollmer to adjourn
